The Global Energizing Development Program (EnDev) funded by the Netherlands is implemented in a number of countries and is moreover an inseparable part of the cooperation between Indonesia and the Netherlands in the energy sector.
Implementation of the EnDev is entrusted to the GTZ, which works closely together with its Indonesian implementing partners the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Indonesia’s abundant water resources, many of which can be harnessed for developing small-scale, i.e. micro hydro power (MHP) schemes, provide a suitable and accessible potential for village electrification.
